A life-long meditator, Cort spent 8 years studying meditation in Nepal and has taught meditation around the world for more than 15 years. He is also a scientist, a translator, and the co-founder of a worldwide network of meditation centers.
Dr. Richard Davidson is a world-renowned neuroscientist and the Founder of the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Healthy Minds Innovations. Richie is best known for his groundbreaking work studying emotion and the brain. His research is broadly focused on the neural bases of emotion and emotional style as well as methods to promote human flourishing, including meditation and related contemplative practices.
Daniela Labra Cardero is a leading expert on the topics of mindfulness and meditation. She has been a meditation practitioner for the past 20 years and leverages the latest research on the science of well-being in her work. Daniela is the founder of AtentaMente, a nonprofit that works with the government of Mexico to bring social-emotional training techniques to educators and students.
Stephanie Wagner is a board-certified health and wellness coach with a passion for mindfulness and meditation, with extensive years working in professional development. She develops and trains content to help people cultivate habits to achieve greater well-being. She is especially skilled on topics related to workplace well-being.
Jay Vidyarthi has led groups at major organizations and created guided meditations used by 100,000's of people. His purpose is to nurture a society where powerful tools for self-care and personal transformation are as diverse as the people who need them. His extensive experience designing useful and engaging technologies for mindfulness and well-being has been instrumental in helping create the Healthy Minds Program.
Rev. Dr. Ronné Wingate Sims, is an ordained Baptist minister, speaker, teacher and activist. She creates opportunities and curates spaces for healing from intergenerational and ongoing trauma. Rev. Ronné currently serves as Executive Minister at Imani Community Church in Oakland, CA under the leadership of senior pastor Rev. Dr. George C. L. Cummings. Prior to joining the staff at Imani she spent several years serving children, youth and young adults in both non-profit and faith-based settings.
Born and raised in Southern California by immigrant parents from Taiwan, Natasha Huang is a graduate of Yale Divinity School and a Board-Certified Music Therapist with a broad array of work experiences. Natasha holds master’s degrees in East Asian Studies and Religion. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Practical Theology from Claremont School of Theology at Willamette University while also training to become a chaplain in the hospital setting. She is an active part of an online and international contemplative community affiliated with Blue Ocean Faith and has also coordinated social justice and educational programs at the Orange County Interfaith Network, where she served as Intern and Educational Fellow from 2018-2020.
Dekila Chungyalpa is the director of the Loka Initiative, an education and outreach program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison for faith leaders and religious institutions. Its mission is to support faith-led environmental efforts locally and around the world through collaborations with faith leaders and religious institutions on environmental protection, sustainable development, and global health issues.
Christy Wilson-Mendenhall is an Associate Scientist at the Center for Healthy Minds. Her interdisciplinary background motivates studying psychological well-being as multi-faceted and skill-based. Her work, which integrates cognitive, affective, and contemplative science, suggests that there is tremendous potential for beneficial psychological growth during adulthood.
Roshi Joan Halifax, Ph.D. is a Buddhist teacher, Founder and Head Teacher of the Upaya Zen Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, a social activist, author, scholar, and pioneer in the field of end of life care. She is Director of the project Being With Dying and also Founder of the Nomads Clinic in Nepal. Roshi Joan was the Distinguished Visiting Scholar in the Library of Congress where she centered her work on the study of compassion. In this challenge, Roshi Joan shares her experience of contemplation, teaching, activism, and skill at distilling ancient wisdom into meaningful meditations.

Abismael Resendiz es Director Nacional de la Preparatoria Tecmilenio, donde ha estado implementando intervenciones de Educación Positiva con 19,000 estudiantes en 28 campus. Además de los 10 años de su meditación y otras prácticas contemplativas, Abismael ha completado el programa de Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice (MBSP) dirigido por Masaya Okamoto. También ha estado apoyando la implementación del programa MBSP para todos los nuevos estudiantes de preparatoria de Tecmilenio desde 2020.

In addition to 10 years of his meditation and other contemplative practices, Abismael has completed the Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice (MBSP) program led by Masaya Okamoto. He has also been supporting an implementation of the MBSP program to all new Tecmilenio high school students since 2020.
Fernanda Torres es docente en la Universidad Tecmilenio. Después de trabajar 10 años en el Hospital San José TecSalud como coordinadora del departamento de Farmacia, su interés en el bienestar integral se empezó a extender luego de completar el Entrenamiento de Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice (MBSP) liderado por Masaya Okamoto en el Instituto de Ciencias de la Felicidad. Fernanda Torres is a teacher at Tecmilenio University. After working at a hospital for 10 years, her interest in holistic well-being began to expand when she completed the Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice (MBSP) train-the-trainer program led by Masaya Okamoto at the Institute for Wellbeing and Happiness. This training has allowed her to lead meditation sessions within the Tecmilenio community. She has been practicing yoga and meditation since 2008.
