Healthy Minds Innovations, Inc. (HMI) was started in 2014 as a nonprofit affiliated with the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The Center for Healthy Minds conducts transformational scientific research on healthy qualities of mind and explores how these qualities might be cultivated on an individual and global scale. For decades, Dr. Richard Davidson and the Center have investigated the science of emotions, contemplative practices, and qualities of mind that are suspected to affect well-being, including attention, resilience, equanimity, savoring positive emotions, kindness, compassion, gratitude, and empathy.
Since our start in 2014, HMI has turned these groundbreaking insights into action. Our mission is to translate this science into tools to cultivate and measure well-being. Some of our offerings include our Healthy Minds Program App (utilizing the Awareness, Connection, Insight, and Purpose framework), Healthy Minds @ Work®, and our Healthy Minds for Wellness Consultants toolkit.
Both Healthy Minds Innovations and the Center for Healthy Minds have the audacious goal to create a kinder, wiser, more compassionate world - eliminating barriers to well-being by offering tools globally.
